Applications are open for the Startup Abuja Innovation Challenge/Hackathon 2025. The Startup Innovation Challenge/Hackathon is an online hackathon and business growth experience designed for startups, SMEs, tech innovators and entrepreneurs across Nigeria.

The challenge categories include:

  • EduTech
  • HealthTech
  • FinTech
  • AgroTech
  • Web3/Blockchain
  • E-commerce
  • SaaS
  • Logistics/Transportation
  • Real Estate and more

Benefits

  • 1st Prize: ₦10 million worth of value — includes ₦5 million in cash, ₦4 million worth of AWS credits, and ₦1 million worth of tailored business mentorship
  • 2nd Prize: ₦8 million worth — includes ₦3 million in cash, ₦4 million worth of AWS credits, and ₦1 million worth of tailored business mentorship
  • 3rd Prize: ₦7 million worth — includes ₦2 million in cash, ₦4 in million worth of AWS credits, and ₦1 million worth of tailored business mentorship
  • 10 Runner-Ups: includes ₦200,000 in cash + ₦1.5 million worth of AWS credits for each person/team
  • All selected participants:  ₦500,000 worth of AWS credits

Eligibility

  • Applicants should be aged 14 – 45;
  • Nigerians or other Africans;
  • Non-Africans building for the African market;
  • Your idea or startup is tech-enabled.

Application

Application closes on Sunday, 20 July 2025 (winners will be selected based on innovation, execution, and potential for impact). Online pitch starts on Wednesday, 30 July 2025.
