Are you an aspiring or professional accountant or student? Here’s your chance to make a difference, gain
valuable international exposure and interact with other professionals from around the world. Apply to join the IFAC Young Leaders Collective 2025.

Northeastern University Global Study Expo 2026

The International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) is seeking its next cohort to join the Young Leaders Collective. They seek insights and perspectives from early career and aspiring professional accountants with less than five years of work experience on some of the biggest challenges and opportunities facing the profession. Gain exposure to some of IFAC’s most important initiatives, including technology, artificial intelligence, and attracting and retaining talent.

Benefits

By becoming a member of the Collective, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Shape the future of the global accountancy profession.
  • Gain valuable international exposure by working with an organization that works to make the accountancy profession truly global, as well as connecting with your peers from around the world.
  • Deepen your understanding of the crucial issues the profession faces, such as the effects of AI and technology on the profession, and the value accountants bring to societies and economies.

Eligibility

  • Open to early career and aspiring professional accountants;
  • Applicants should have less than five years of work experience.

Commitment

  • One year of voluntary service, with the possibility of a one-year renewal.
  • Participating in four two-hour virtual meetings per year and optional participation in working groups.
  • Preparing for meetings, which may include reviewing meeting papers, consulting with your peers, and conducting your own informal research.
  • Potentially representing the Collective in other IFAC forums.

Application

Apply by June 30, 2025 to be a part of this impactful initiative.

  • Record and upload a 60 second audio/video explaining why you’re passionate about accountancy and joining the Collective.
  • Upload a letter of recommendation from a non-family member. The letter can be from professional, academic, or volunteer connections. Preference will be given to applications with a letter of recommendation from an IFAC member organization, IFAC network partner, or Forum of Firms member.
