Deadline: July 31, 2025
Applications are open for the SVRI Forum Young Professionals Programme 2025. The SVRI Forum Young Professionals Programme (YPP) is one of the most valued initiatives. It is designed to support the next generation of researchers and practitioners in preparing for and meaningfully participating in international events like SVRI Forum 2026. Through mentorship, the YPP helps early-career professionals refine their ideas, strengthen their abstracts, and build confidence to share their work on a global stage.
For the first time, they are launching a pre-abstract submission call via Oxford Abstracts as part of the YPP, offering earlier and deeper support to a small cohort (4–6) of promising early-career researchers and practitioners. This new model allows the organisers to begin mentoring before the official abstract submission process opens.
Details
In 2025, a targeted call will invite early-career professionals to submit a short “pre-abstract” outlining the work they hope to present at SVRI Forum 2026. Selected participants will be paired with a mentor from the SVRI Leadership Council or wider network and receive tailored support, including:
- Guidance on shaping and strengthening their abstract – framing, methodology, analysis, and recommendations.
- Feedback to refine their formal submission to the SVRI Forum 2026.
- Ongoing mentoring to prepare for their presentation if accepted, and- where possible – in-person engagement with their mentor at the Forum.
Benefits
- All selected YPP participants will be supported to attend SVRI Forum 2026 in Bangkok, regardless of whether their abstract is accepted.
