IAEA Infographic Design Contest 2025 (Win a trip to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia)

Applications are open for the IAEA Infographic Design Contest 2025. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) invites early career professionals, interested in emergency preparedness and response topics, to submit an entry that demonstrates their understanding and creative interpretation of key ideas, concepts, tools, techniques, strategies, frameworks, or takeaways from the following list of IAEA EPR publications:

  • Preparedness and Response for a Nuclear or Radiological Emergency Combined with Other Incidents or Emergencies.
  • Considerations in the Development of a Protection Strategy for a Nuclear or Radiological Emergency.
  • Preparation, Conduct and Evaluation of Exercises to Test Preparedness for a Nuclear or Radiological Emergency.
  • Emergency Preparedness and Response Information Management System (EPRIMS).
  • Method for Developing a Communication Strategy and Plan for a Nuclear or Radiological Emergency.
  • Communication with the Public in a Nuclear or Radiological Emergency.
  • Manual for First Responders to a Radiological Emergency.
  • Guidance for Medical Physicists Responding to a Nuclear or Radiological Emergency.
  • Generic Procedures for Medical Response During a Nuclear or Radiological Emergency.

Prizes

Prizes for the top 5 winners include:

  • All-expenses-paid trip to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to present at the conference
  • Feature in the IAEA Bulletin.
  • Feature in the UN-NYG and IAEA-NS social media platforms.
  • Infographic displayed at the EPR2025 Conference and the UN Headquarters in Vienna.

Additional recognition for other finalists includes:

  • Infographic displayed at the EPR2025 Conference and the UN Headquarters in Vienna.
  • Opportunity to feature their work on UN-NYG and IAEA-NS social media platforms.

Eligibility

  • Open to individuals aged 18 to 35 who are nationals of IAEA Member States.
  • Participants must submit their entries individually; group submissions are not permitted.

Evaluation Criteria

Entries will be evaluated based on:

  • Visual clarity and design quality.
  • Originality and creativity
  • Technical accuracy
  • Overall impact and effectiveness in communicating EPR concepts.

Application

Submissions must include:

  • Infographic: An original infographic that presents technical information clearly and accurately, with all text in English.
  • Form: The participants must complete an online form with their full name, date of birth, nationality, country of residence, email address, as well as to select the particular IAEA EPR publication and intended audience among the provided list

Instructions for the second phase will be provided only to shortlisted participants.

The deadline for submission is Sunday, August 17, 2025, at 11:59 PM (CET). Submissions received after the deadline will not be considered.
