Deadline: October 23, 2025

Applications are open for the Odlum Brown Forum Pitch Program 2025-2026 for Canadian Women. One of the biggest barriers women entrepreneurs face is connecting with folks who can open doors to the right funding opportunities. The Odlum Brown Forum Pitch was developed to address this barrier.

With community at the heart of the program, its goal is to foster connections with funders, leaders and experts ready to support you on your funding and business journey. Along the way, you’ll gain tangible experience, build confidence, refine your pitch and build a toolkit that will set you up for growth that aligns with your vision.

Benefits

  • With Pitch, you could receive prizing, resources, education and more valued at up to $90,000 CAD to help your business thrive.

Eligibility

  • Your business is registered, is majority-owned by self-identifying women, non-binary, or trans-femme founders and is actively operating in Canada (excludes Registered Charities or Not-for-Profit Organizations).
  • You have at least six months of business development or market research.
  • You have a growing team (min. one full/part-time employee or contractor besides you as the founder).
  • You are raising external capital within the next 12 months.
  • You offer a clear product or service with at least one of the following:
    • Proof of concept or minimum viable product (MVP)
    • Customer validation, such as testimonials, early adopters, or letters of intent (LOIs)
    • Strategic partnerships or pilot projects
  • You have a basic funding roadmap or plan that includes:
    • Expressed interest in raising external capital (e.g., angel investment, venture capital, loans, or grants)
    • Preliminary financial planning or forecasting
    • Pitch deck and/or data room materials, if available

Application

Upload your 60-second pitch video introducing yourself and your business. This is your chance to share your story in your words so they can understand your vision and see how you bring it to life.

What to include in your pitch:

  • Who you are – Introduce yourself and your business.
  • Problem – What market gap are you addressing? How big is the target market?
  • Solution – What does your business do, and how does it solve that problem?
  • Traction – Share one key highlight or proof point (e.g., customers, partnerships, revenue, grants, non-dilutive funding, or in-kind resources, recognition).
  • Ask – State how much investment you’re seeking (if applicable) and why it matters for your growth.

You can submit your video by uploading it to YouTube as an ‘Unlisted’ video.
