Deadline: October 22, 2025

Applications are open for the Sino-Africa Green Finance Alliance (SAGFA) Fellowship 2025. The SAGFA Fellowship is a 6-week virtual training program designed to build the capacity of African professionals and emerging leaders in green finance, climate policy, and Africa–China cooperation. It is hosted by the Africa-China Centre for Policy and Advisory (ACCPA) and supported by the African Climate Foundation (ACF).

This fellowship is designed to build the next generation of African leaders in green finance—empowering policymakers, researchers, and industry professionals with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to drive climate-resilient industrial development across the continent.

In its pilot phase, the SAGFA Fellowship will be delivered entirely online, providing a flexible and accessible platform for participants across Africa. Future editions of the fellowship aim to incorporate in-person residencies and industrial immersions, subject to sustainable funding.

Benefits

  • Build Expertise: Gain deep insights into green finance tools, frameworks, and global best practices tailored to African realities.
  • Access Global Networks: Engage with experts from across Africa and China and expand your professional network for future collaborations.
  • Drive Impact: Translate learning into action through capstone projects focused on real-world challenges in your country or sector.
  • Flexible and Accessible: Participate in a rigorous 8-week virtual program from anywhere in Africa—no travel required.
  • Shape the Future: Be part of a growing alumni network contributing to Africa’s green transition and climate leadership.

Eligibility

  • The SAGFA Fellowship targets mid- to senior-level professionals from across Africa who are passionate about climate finance and sustainable development, particularly:
    • Government policymakers
    • Researchers and think tank professionals
    • Development practitioners and advisors
    • Private sector actors in manufacturing, energy, finance, and agro processing
    • Financial regulators and institutional investors
  • Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to applying the fellowship experience to their ongoing work and institutional mandates.

Application

The deadline to apply is October 22, 2025. Late applications will not be considered.
