Deadline: November 30, 2025
Applications for the Millennium Fellowship Class of 2026 are now open. The Millennium Fellowship, a joint initiative by the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) and the Millennium Campus Network (MCN), offers a semester-long leadership development program designed to empower students like you. Become part of a global community of changemakers committed to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The three stages of the fellowship are:
- Convene: Fellows meet regularly on their campuses, engaging with the MCN Action Toolkit curriculum and applying it to their projects.
- Develop: Collaboratively plan sessions, exchange best practices through peer feedback, and potentially organize campus-wide initiatives.
- Graduate: Actively participate, complete your project, and earn recognition from UNAI and MCN.
Benefits
The Millennium Fellowship is not just another program; it’s a transformative experience. As a Fellow, you’ll gain access to:
- Values-Driven Leadership Training: Develop essential leadership skills through on-campus training sessions focused on core values, honing skills, and taking informed action for United Nations goals.
- Social Impact Projects: Initiate and lead your own project addressing local or global challenges, contributing directly to the SDGs.
- Global Connections: Network with Millennium Fellows and alumni worldwide, fostering collaboration and cross-cultural exchange.
- Expert Insights: Attend webinars led by world-class leaders and gain valuable knowledge from their experiences.
- Comprehensive Resources: Access excellent training materials and resources to support the development and execution of your social impact project.
- Community Events: Participate in enriching events like the Global Townhall and Graduation Ceremony, connecting with fellow changemakers.
- UN Recognition: Receive a certificate of recognition from UNAI and MCN upon successful completion of the program.
Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old, an undergraduate enrolled in a college or university, and in good standing at that academic institution for the duration of the program.
- You make a commitment to convene in-person least eight times during the Millennium Fellowship (for the Class of 2026 the program will run August 2026 – December 2026) with your Campus Directors and other Fellows on your campus to share best practices and take collective action. Students have to meet on-campus, in-person for the Fellowship sessions. If you miss sessions, this is grounds for expulsion and the forfeiture of your designation as a Millennium Fellow.
