Deadline: Unspecified

Applications are invited for the EMERGE Leaders Program 2026. EMERGE is a flagship talent development programme by TheBoardroom Africa, designed to support the next generation of African leaders. It offers tailored professional support, specialised leadership training, and access to career opportunities that help emerging leaders grow, thrive, and lead with impact.

EMERGE will offer a tailored leadership readiness curriculum delivered through a state-of-the-art digital learning platform. Training is fully asynchronous, allowing participants to learn at their own pace. Courses cover critical areas such as personal mastery, governance, strategy, finance, climate, and sustainability—equipping participants with the skills to emerge as leaders in today’s complex world.

EMERGE was born out of a bold vision: to redefine leadership development for Africa’s next generation of changemakers. The programme addresses a critical gap in leadership pipelines across the continent. Too often, emerging leaders are sidelined by traditional models that fail to account for their unique challenges and contexts but therein lies the opportunity.

Benefits

  • Participants benefit from a range of support including expert-led training, access to professional development tools, executive coaching, career readiness resources, and a curated talent marketplace that connects them with leadership-aligned opportunities.

Cost

  • Participation in EMERGE is fully funded for admitted candidates, thanks to the generous support of the Mastercard Foundation. This allows emerging leaders to access high-impact training, professional support, and career opportunities without financial barriers.

Eligibility

  • EMERGE is designed for emerging leaders aged 25–35 across Africa who demonstrate high potential, ambition, and a commitment to driving change in their communities or industries.
  • It is ideal for individuals seeking to accelerate their leadership journey and access meaningful career opportunities.

Application

Applications for EMERGE are currently open and can be submitted online. If you know a promising candidate, you can nominate them here.

For more information, visit EMERGE.
