Applications are open for the Salzburg Global Development Internship 2026. As an integral part of the Development Team, you will conduct background research on institutions and potential partners, draft program-related concept notes, proposals, and reports, and provide administrative support for Salzburg Global’s programs.
The Development Intern works across Salzburg Global’s teams, offices, and levels to help develop programs and identify new fundraising opportunities and prospective partnerships. Interns will also be expected to support the Development Team’s administrative functions. They must thus be willing to contribute to day-to-day operational tasks and capable of using computers and IT effectively.
Benefits
The internships are full-time, for a maximum period of three months. Although the position is not paid, they will provide the successful candidate with:

Eligibility
- You have recently completed or are in the process of completing a Bachelor’s degree with a demonstrable interest in one of Salzburg Global’s program areas, or academic experience in non-profit management or fundraising.
- You have demonstrable experience working with databases.
- You have excellent English writing and communication skills, including editing.
- You are proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Experience with Qualtrics, Power BI, and MAXQDA is preferred but not required.
- You are enthusiastic about our mission.
- You have a can-do attitude, can multitask, are proactive, and are willing to work flexible hours to meet the program’s needs.
- You thrive in culturally and professionally diverse environments.
Note: German language skills are not required.
