Deadline: January 20, 2026

Applications are open for the SickKids WomenPowered Grant 2026. SickKids Foundation, through the SickKids WomenPowered program, provides grants to support initiatives that align with their mission to improve the health and well-being of children and youth in Canada. The program prioritizes efforts that involve collaboration between families, health professionals, and community organizations to create meaningful and lasting impacts. Funding is limited, and awards are granted through a competitive evaluation process.

Grant

  • Grants are limited to an annual maximum of $25,000. The funding can be used to support a specific project or address some of the most urgent needs of an organization. An organization may receive funding for the same project for up to two consecutive years. After that, the organization must wait 24 months before reapplying for the same project.

Eligibility

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be a registered Canadian charitable organization in good standing with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).
  • Have a primary mission centered on the health, well-being, or development of children and youth.
  • Programs and services must primarily benefit children and youth within the Greater Toronto Area.
  • Show a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in their programs and organizational practices.
  • Preference is given to organizations that operate between $1 million and $ 5 million in annual revenue.
  • Provide evidence of financial stability, governance, and impact measurement capacity.
  • Operate for a minimum of three years prior to application.

Grant Review Process

Applications are assessed based on alignment with program priorities, organizational capacity, potential impact, and financial feasibility. The review process includes the following steps:

  • Internal pre-screening to confirm eligibility.
  • Evaluation by a grants committee using a standardized scoring rubric.
  • Final review and approval by the SickKids WomenPowered advisory council and members.

Application

Submit your application with the following documents:

  • Latest audited financial statement.
  • Detailed budget and funding rationale.
