Deadline: January 6, 2026

Applications are invited for the Good Lobby Internship 2026. The Good Lobby is looking for two motivated interns committed to strengthening democracy and empowering civil society. They are hiring a Communication & Policy Intern and a Policy & Education Intern to support their communication, consulting, research, and capacity-building work. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience at the heart of EU public affairs while contributing to a more plural, inclusive, and democratic Europe.

They are looking for a Communication & Policy Intern, a hybrid profile combining strong communication skills with genuine policy insight and curiosity. The selected candidate will report to the Communication & Policy Manager.

They are looking for a Policy and Education Intern who is:

  • A Lobbyist: you know how to monitor and research policies, and you know how to craft strategies to make change happen;
  • A Researcher: someone who masters strategic research and is able to provide clear, well-founded insights and solutions across a variety of different topics.
  • A Facilitator: someone who aims at being understood, a bridge-builder between different environments (e.g. academia, public sector, private sector, philanthropies)

Benefits

Both internships offer:

  • A 6-month paid CIP placement with the possibility of extension
  • A dynamic, international and mission-driven work environment
  • Real exposure to EU advocacy, civic engagement, and multi-stakeholder collaboration
  • Opportunities for professional growth, mentoring, and skills development
  • Flexible, hybrid working arrangements

Eligibility

Communication and Policy Intern

You are the ideal candidate if you:

  • Have a solid understanding of EU public affairs, institutions, and policymaking processes (from academic background, traineeships, or relevant projects).
  • Are genuinely passionate about EU policy, democracy, and civil society.
  • Can translate complex policy issues into accessible and compelling content for different audiences.
  • Have excellent writing and editing skills in English (additional languages are an asset).
  • Familiarity with the EU media landscape and the civil society ecosystem is a strong asset.
  • Are comfortable with WordPress, Canva, and social media management (LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Instagram); basic analytics knowledge is a plus.
  • Are organised, detail-oriented and able to support project management tasks.
  • Are a team player eager to learn in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Policy and Education Intern

They are seeking a motivated and curious person who is enthusiastic about civic participation and social impact. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • A genuine interest in policy, education, and advocacy work;
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn on the job;
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • An ability to work well as part of a team and independently when needed;
  • Attention to detail and good organisational skills;
  • Comfort using basic office digital tools
