Deadline: January 15, 2026

Applications are open for the AMAS Young Researcher
Associate Programme 2026. The AI and Multimedia Authenticity Young Researcher Associate Programme is a one-year research collaboration designed to engage promising early-career researchers in tackling the fundamental challenges of trust, authenticity, and the protection of rights in an era of ubiquitous AI-generated and AI-edited content.

For an AI-native generation, synthetic media is a foundational layer of expression and information exchange, which profoundly reshapes traditional benchmarks of what is “real”. This programme aims to design the future of content integrity alongside emerging leaders.

Benefits

  • Expert mentorship: Each fellow is matched with senior AMAS mentors based on research and topic alignment.
  • Global collaboration: The programme involves monthly virtual All-Hands sessions for the entire cohort and focused Working Group meetings for sub-teams.
  • High-profile engagements: Associates may present at external events such as the AI for Good Global Summit or major scientific conferences (e.g., ICML, CVPR).
  • Commitment & IP: Participation is on a voluntary basis, with intellectual property remaining the property of the associate’s employing organization.

Eligiblity

  • They are seeking young leaders currently enrolled in Master’s, PhD or MBA programs who are actively engaging with the challenges of AI and multimedia authenticity, such as students, researchers or professionals.
  • They encourage applicants spanning disciplines from AI, cybersecurity, business, and political science.
  • They welcome diverse perspectives from all regions of the world.

Application

The selection process involves a written submission and a subsequent interview for shortlisted candidates. Applications open until January 15, 2026.
