Deadline: February 27, 2026

Applications are open for the Mott Million Dollar Challenge 2026. The Mott Million Dollar Challenge is a national innovation competition for kids and teens in grades K–12 supported by funding from the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation and powered by the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE).

The Charles Stewart Mott Foundation supports efforts that promote a just, equitable and sustainable society. They are working to expand access to youth entrepreneurship because it can help young people build mindsets and skills — creativity, problem-solving, resilience and agency — that promote success in school and life.

Prizes

  • Across the competition, a total of $1,000,000 (one million dollars) in prize money will be awarded to young people.

Eligibility

  • You are in grades K–12 (or in that age range as of February 27, 2026)
  • You live in the United States (50 States and Washington DC)
  • You can be in public school, private school, charter school, homeschool, online school, or a youth program. If you’re learning and growing here, you belong here!

Application

Jot down your idea, record a simple 30-90 second video about it and submit by February 27, 2026. Finalists will be invited to an epic celebration in June 2026 in Flint, Michigan, packed with learning and a live pitch event.
