Deadline: February 11, 2026

Applications are open for the Andela AI Engineering Bootcamp 2026. The Andela AI Engineering bootcamp is a super-intensive training program that is aimed at equipping you with all the competencies you need to become a forward-deployed, enterprise-ready, and AI-fluent engineer. This training will combine a series of expert-led sessions with hands-on activities to make you a complete AI engineer over 10 weeks.

This training program requires a commitment of 40 hours per week to go through learning resources, attend expert-led sessions, and participate in project delivery.

Benefits

The AI Engineering Bootcamp is a specialized, honor-based, competitive learning experience, reserved for top technologists, with clear career advantages:

  • Priority access to matching: Graduates receive prioritized consideration for AI-aligned opportunities across Andela’s network.
  • Direct Entry: Graduate, skip the traditional application process, and join the Andela Network.
  • Higher earning potential: Engineers with applied GenAI skills consistently command significantly higher compensation than their non-AI peers.
  • World-class learning and fully sponsored: This program is completely free. Comparable hands-on GenAI programs and mentorships typically cost thousands of dollars on the open market.
  • Exclusive learning with Ed Donner: Gain access to individualized, practitioner-led learning from one of the most respected voices in applied AI engineering.
  • Credibility you can showcase: Graduates can confidently share their learning outcomes, certifications, and a portfolio of real AI projects.

Eligibility

This program is open to Andela-certified technologists who:

  • Have at least 8 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
  • Have solid experience working with Python or Node.js, APIs, Databases, and software architecture.
  • Good knowledge of TypeScript, modern frameworks like React or Next.js, and exposure to AI-related tools or libraries such as LangChain, OpenAI APIs, or vector databases.
  • Can commit 40 hours per week for the next 10 weeks.
  • A Personal Computer (not a phone) with an internet connection is required. Either Mac (Linux) or Windows.
  • Are NOT employed full time, either with an Andela Client, or externally.

Application

Fill this application form. You will then receive a 40 min skill scan test via email by EOD February 9. Complete the Skill test by February 11 and receive the selection decision email by February 13.

The skill scan test is to gauge your current knowledge in AI and software development generally, so the program meets you where your skills are.
