Applications are open for the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) Internship Programme 2026. Young people provide invaluable knowledge, ideas and energy to society and the workplace. That’s why IFAD offers six-month internship opportunities to recent university graduates or current students specializing in areas of work relevant to IFAD’s mission. Interns may pursue an additional six-month internship, accessing a different learning experience and broadening their exposure to IFAD’s areas of work.
Benefits
- The internship programme provides a monthly allowance. Moreover, to further promote geographic diversity, IFAD offers a higher monthly allowance (contributing to housing and travel expenses) to interns from developing countries who need to travel to their duty station.
Eligibility
- Be 30 years of age or younger.
- Be enrolled in an accredited university or graduate school, have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies and have attended courses in the last 24 months; or have completed university studies at an undergraduate or postgraduate level within the last 24 months.
- Be fluent in English. Knowledge of another IFAD official language (Arabic, French or Spanish) and/or any other language may be necessary, depending on the region of assignment.
