Deadline: May 6, 2026

Applications are open for the Roche Scholarship to Attend the One Young World Summit 2026. As climate change poses a significant threat to our wellbeing, Roche recognises the inextricable connection between planetary and human health. That is why innovations in healthcare must be truly sustainable – for both the environment and society. Roche is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions globally by 2045 and halving the environmental impacts of its products and operations.

Roche is therefore proud to partner with One Young World again to launch the Roche Scholarship 2026, which will enable 3 outstanding professionals working in the NHS to participate in the One Young World Summit in Cape Town, South Africa from 3-6 November 2026.

This programme is for young leaders within the NHS who have demonstrated a commitment to sustainable innovation in healthcare. Examples may include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Tackling the causes and effects of health inequalities
  • Creating or implementing innovative methods of treatment or diagnosis to enhance the patient care pathway
  • Reducing emissions or burdens on natural resources, such as through decarbonising healthcare supply chains

  • Hotel accommodation in Cape Town in a private room between 2-6 November 2026 (inclusive).
  • The cost of travel to and from Cape Town (economy class).
    • Scholars will be responsible for booking their own flights, and will be reimbursed.
  • Catering which includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner (provided by the hotel and during the Summit).
