NTEN AI For Nonprofits 2026: Nonprofit Tech Readiness Cohort

Applications are open for the NTEN AI For Nonprofits 2026. This Nonprofit Tech Readiness cohort, limited to 20 people, gives participants an opportunity to ramp up their technology leadership and planning skills. AI for Nonprofits: A Nonprofit Tech Readiness cohort offers a hands-on, supportive space to increase AI readiness and advance projects that support organizational effectiveness immediately.

The goal of the cohort is to significantly advance the capacity of nonprofits to achieve impact with AI while building technology project leadership, management, and confidence for nonprofit staff. This cohort is open to US-based nonprofits free of cost. Participating staff can be from any discipline, professional position, or organizational department who want to gain new skills, build capacity for using AI in their organization, and receive dedicated coaching in support of launching an AI-enabled project.

Topics

The curriculum is tailored to the cohort participants’ needs, and new courses are added as available. Topics include:

  • Designing and running AI pilot programs
  • AI-powered nonprofit communications and marketing
  • Grant writing in the age of AI
  • AI for nonprofit decision-makers
  • Human-centered and responsible generative AI
  • Intro to the AI framework for an equitable world
  • Introduction to Responsible AI
  • Mitigate bias in AI

Benefits

  • Participants and their organizations will benefit from comprehensive assessments, nonprofit-specific training and resources, and personalized guidance, ensuring they emerge as effective technology leaders with more effective organizations.
  • Additionally, participants could benefit from free product access to Anthropic tools thanks to their partnership. By the end of the program, participants will be equipped with the skills and confidence to address complex technology challenges and maintain strategic technology plans in their organizations.

Eligibility

  • Applicants for the program should be invested in enhancing their AI-readiness and data management skills and building their capacity to manage technology systems effectively.
  • This cohort is open to nonprofits with 501(c)(3) designation, including mission-based healthcare organizations with 501(c)(3) status.
  • Applicants can be in any role or have any job title that includes responsibilities for advancing and implementing systems and operations at their organization.
  • Board members and volunteers are not eligible.
