Deadline: September 30, 2026

Applications are open for the Carnegie China Young Ambassador Internships 2026. These internships will be paid and may be arranged in different ways depending on how the candidates fit with the organization’s priorities and projects.

Candidates should specify their preference for the “research” or “comms” track in their applications. Broadly speaking, the research track involves working on Carnegie China’s various analytical products, database projects, strategic initiatives, and editorial responsibilities. It requires both solid writing skills and quantitative acumen. The comms track in general involves developing creative content marketing and delivery, website design and management, events planning, and multimedia projects. It requires technical skills and comfort working with technology.

Benefits

  • You will be an integral part of the core team on day one and contribute substantively to major projects and initiatives;
  • You will have the opportunity to publish and start building a portfolio;
  • You thrive in a relatively flat, entrepreneurial, and results-oriented organization;
  • You enjoy being part of a high-performing team that takes their work very seriously but have fun while at it;
  • You will be part of an organization committed to cultivating next-gen talent;
  • You get to spend time in one of the most dynamic hubs in the Asia-Pacific and soak in different perspectives;
  • You can tap into Carnegie’s expansive global network of experts and resources.

Eligibility

  • Qualified applicants should be matriculated students (either the undergraduate or graduate levels) or recent graduates (no more than two years from graduation).
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in Singapore. Remote candidates will be considered presuming they are eligible to work in Singapore. They strongly encourage you to consider these factors before applying because positions are limited and competitive.

Application

Upload a resume, a cover letter, and a writing sample of no more than two pages. They also welcome you to submit a pitch for an original project or novel topic under either “research” or “communications” in place of or in addition to a writing sample. Incomplete applications will NOT be considered.
