Applications are open for the Heirs Insurance Group Teachers’ Insurance Awareness Prize 2026. At Heirs Insurance Group, they recognise the pivotal role teachers play in shaping the future. The Teachers’ Insurance Awareness Prize is Heirs Insurance flagship initiative dedicated to honouring teachers who champion insurance education within their schools and communities.

Whether through classroom instruction, community outreach, or media engagement, these teachers are instrumental in fostering a culture of financial literacy and security.

Prize

  • ₦1,000,000 cash prize for the outstanding teacher.
  • ₦500,000 grant for the teacher’s school.

Eligibility

  • Open to teachers in Nigeria.
  • All individuals directly or indirectly related to any member of Heirs Insurance Group (HIG) are not eligible to participate in this Essay Championship. Such ineligible individuals include but are not limited to Employees, Directors, Agents, Financial Advisors, Family members, Contractors, Consultants, Vendors and Suppliers of HIG.

Application

  • Step 1: Execute an insurance awareness initiative in your school or community (E.g. conduct a training, publish an article, etc).
  • Step 2: Ensure that Heirs Insurance Group reflects in your initiative to make it easy for them to track.
  • Step 3: Document your initiative by capturing your impact (Pictures, videos, lesson materials, testimonials etc).
  • Step 4: Submit your entry.
