Embassy of France in Uganda Master’s Scholarships 2026/2027

Applications are open for the Embassy of France in Uganda Master’s Scholarships 2026/2027. The scholarship is designed for young Ugandan students who already possess a Bachelor degree in one of the fields stated below and who want to pursue their studies with a Master’s degree in France, either in French or English language.

The Master’s degree scholarship covers round-trip international airfare between Uganda and France, tuition fees, visa fee waivers, and the CVEC fee. Recipients receive a monthly stipend to cover living expenses, as well as health insurance (70% covered by the French government and 30% by Campus France). The scholarship also provides priority access to subsidized student housing, assistance with administrative procedures throughout the stay, and opportunities to participate in cultural activities and networking events. 

Scholarship

The scholarship includes:

  • International return air ticket Uganda-France
  • Full tuition fees
  • Exemption from visa and CVEC fees
  • A monthly allowance to cover living expenses and health insurance
  • Priority access to shared student accommodation
  • Assistance with administrative procedures
  • Opportunity to participate in cultural activities and networking events

Eligibility

  • Be a Ugandan citizen;
  • Possess a Bachelor in the concerned areas before the call closes;
  • Be admitted for a Master’s Degree at French University.

The concerned study areas are:

  • Sciences
  • Agriculture
  • Sustainable development (Environment – Renewable energy)
  • Tourism/leisure
  • Gender studies
  • Economics
  • Engineering
  • Business Administration
  • Sport

Application

Documents needed:

  • Cover letter;
  • Copy of an identity document;
  • Copy of the Bachelor degree.
  • Proof of application or admission from a recognized French public university (admission letter for application confirmation).

The candidate must find the university and begin the process of admission before applying to this scholarship. A proof of admission will be asked to complete the selection process.

The complete applications must be submitted, as ONE PDF File before June the 11th 2026 at midnight.
