ORIX USA Scholars Program 2026 (up to $5,000)

Applications are invited for the ORIX USA Scholars Program 2026. ORIX Corporation USA has established a scholarship program to assist students who plan to continue their education in college pursuing select areas of study.

The program is administered by Scholarship America, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Scholarship

  • If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $5,000 award. Up to four (4) awards will be granted.

Eligibility

Applicants to the ORIX USA Scholars Program must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Be a high school senior, graduate, or current college undergraduate
  • Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited four-year college or university for the entire upcoming academic year
  • Plan to pursue a degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, marketing, communications, technology, real estate, or human resources
  • Reside in or plan to attend college in Illinois, Massachusetts, Ohio, New York, or Texas

Applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Low Socioeconomic Status: Applicant’s family income is at or below 150% of the current U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) poverty guidelines for their household size.
  • Foster Care Status: Applicant is currently in foster care or has aged out of the foster care system.
  • First-Generation College Student: Neither parent or guardian has earned a degree from a four- year college or university.

*Employees of ORIX USA and their immediate families (spouses, dependents, or members of their household) are not eligible to apply.

Selection Criteria

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic performance
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • A statement of educational and career goals and objectives
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances

Financial need will be considered. Recipients must demonstrate need.

Application

As part of your application, you must upload the following:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display:
    • Student name
    • School name
    • Grades
    • Credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.
  • Copy of the first two pages of the most recently filed IRS Form 1040 used for the Financial Information section of the application. Please black out all social security numbers and bank account information.

NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.
