Deadline: August 24, 2026

Applications for the MIT School Access and Quality Fellowship 2026-2027 are now open. The MIT School Access and Quality Fellowship is a one-year program for education leaders currently working in enrollment and/or school performance and aiming to implement positive change in these systems.

SAQ Fellows learn best practices, leverage each other’s knowledge, and problem-solve together, gaining the tools necessary to implement more equitable, fair, and efficient enrollment and school performance policies. As technology and AI increasingly shape these systems, the Fellowship will also examine how these tools can advance educational equity. Through in-person and virtual programming, the Fellowship connects participants with academic researchers and policy experts.

Cost

  • Fellows (or their organizations) are expected to cover the costs of travel and lodging for both in-person events, though five travel scholarships are available based on need and merit.

Eligibility

  • Ideal candidates come from a variety of enrollment-related jobs including, but not limited to: directors of enrollment, admissions managers, directors of community engagement, directors of data management, communications specialists, directors of school performance, program and policy development advisors, and directors of school quality measurement. Previous Fellows have worked at school districts, charter management organizations, state agencies, and nonprofits that assist families with school enrollment, report school quality, and/or advocate for a better and more inclusive system.

Application

The deadline to submit your application is August 24, 2026, at 5:00 PM EST.
