Applications are open for the GEAF Ambassador Programme 2027. The GEAF Ambassador Programme by the Green Earth Action Foundation is a 6-month global initiative for individuals committed to taking action on environmental and climate challenges within their communities.
Through mentorship, capacity building, and guided project implementation, GEAF Ambassadors design and lead locally relevant initiatives that address environmental challenges within their communities. These initiatives are fully funded and implemented across GEAF’s five thematic areas: Waste Reduction & Pollution Prevention, Marine & Water Protection, Environmental Education & Community Empowerment, Climate-Smart Agriculture Advancement, and Forest & Biodiversity Protection.
GEAF Ambassadors are supported by the GEAF team throughout their journey, with training sessions delivered by subject-matter experts. Previous training sessions have been facilitated by representatives from the ILO, IISD, CCC, SAIIA, UNEP, UNDP, WIPO, and other leading organisations.
Benefits
- Selected GEAF Ambassadors may receive support for the implementation of approved local initiatives, subject to Programme rules, budget validation, and compliance with reporting and financial documentation requirements.
Eligibility
- Be at least 18 years old at the time of the application;
- Strong understanding and passion for sustainability and environmental justice;
- Strong written and spoken communication skills;
- Experience in community outreach and implementing local initiatives;
- Fluency in French or English (basic understanding of English is mandatory for all participants);
- Be available to participate fully in the six-month Programme, with an expected commitment of approximately 5–10 hours per week.

Required documents:
- Passport – A scan of the information page of your passport.
- CV – The CV should include past and current experiences, diplomas and languages and should be a maximum of 2 pages.
- Motivation Letter – This document should include what this Programme means to you, why you would be a good fit, and how it will help you achieve your goals and should be a maximum of 1 page.
- Project Proposal – This document should include: a project overview with a clear description of the project goals, expected outcomes and relevance to your local community. An implementation strategy with a step-by-step plan including timelines. A stakeholder engagement section with a list of potential partners. A budget outline with estimated costs for materials, venues and logistics and the impact assessment method, including how success will be measured. It should be a maximum of 5 pages.
