Applications are open for the Youth for Sustainable Policy (YSP) Global Policy Brief Competition 2026. Youth for Sustainable Policy (YSP) is a global youth-led initiative dedicated to empowering the next generation to engage critically with sustainability, governance, and public policy.
The YSP Policy Brief Challenge 2026 is their flagship global writing competition, inviting youth to engage critically with climate and energy policy. Participants will produce a concise, research-backed policy brief evaluating real-world policy and proposing actionable improvements.
This competition is aligned with YSP’s Research & Policy and Environment tracks, and serves as a pathway for publication, recognition, and advancement within YSP.

Eligibility
- Open to ages 16–30: secondary and high school students in the Junior category, and university students, recent graduates, and young professionals in the Open category.
