Applications are open for the DesignMersive by Grohwie Program 2026. The DesignMersive by Grohwie is an immersive workshop and collaborative lab for emerging and early years graphic and motion designers, ready to expand and grow beyond the limits of their existing skill sets, and understand more around storytelling for design, and exploring how their designs can be used to solve problems and implemented within augmented reality environments.
Grohwie is a motion design and creative tech company that supports purpose-led startups and
organisations in their growth phase, solving business and growth problems through motion design, communications strategy, and creative direction. Beyond that they invest in the next generation of creative talent through the Grohwie Design Fellowship, a programme that places emerging designers inside real projects with senior mentorship, business training, and international exposure. As an offshoot of this, DesignMersive is a one day, in-person physical workshop that hinges on practice, play, learning and connection to get designers ready for real world work environments and solving beyond the box, with design.
The workshop is backed by the Mastercard Foundation and Anzisha as a project implemented by Grohwie, under the Mastercard FAST program. 20 participants will be selected in each city, for a workshops in Calabar (17th October) and Lagos (24th October). On the day, participants will also work in groups to deliver small exciting brief projects.

Eligibility
- You’re a graphic designer or motion designer and you’ve been at it for 1–4 years.
- You already have design skills.
- You want to practice more storytelling and learn about design in AR environments.
- You live in Lagos or Calabar, Nigeria, and can attend all parts of the workshop.
