AIxBio Fellowship 2027 at Cambridge (Fully-funded)

Applications are open for the AIxBio Fellowship 2027. This is a 10-week, fully funded programme at Cambridge, for researchers and entrepreneurs working on important problems at the intersection of advanced AI and biosecurity.

Northeastern University Global Study Expo 2026

Running from 18th January to 26th March, 2027 in Cambridge, UK, this fellowship offers researchers the opportunity to design and execute concrete research projects for mitigating catastrophic biosecurity risks in the age of advanced AI. For Winter’ 27, they expect to accept ~15 fellows across three tracks: Research, Placement and Founding. They are broadly excited to support individuals who are energised by taking ownership of concrete biosecurity problems.

Funding

The fellowship includes:

  • £10,000 stipend
  • Meals during work hours and visa/travel support
  • Dedicated research manager and mentor pairing
  • Access to a collaborative community of researchers

Eligibility

  • Applicants aged 18+ from a wide range of backgrounds and career stages.
  • They welcome applications from researchers with backgrounds in AI/ML, biology, policy, or related fields who are passionate about reducing extreme biological risks.
  • Prior formal research experience is not required.
