Deadline to reapply: May 31, 2013
Rolex is still accepting applications for the 2014 Awards for Enterprise. The awards is dedicated exclusively to young candidates aged between 18 and 30. The Rolex Awards support pioneering work. Applicants are invited to submit projects that tackle the world’s most pressing issues in five areas. They include;
- science and health
- applied technology
- exploration and discovery
- the environment
- cultural heritage.
However, projects may be submitted in almost any area of activity, provided they have the potential to bring benefits for mankind.
Selection criteria
Projects are judged based on their feasibility, originality, potential for sustained impact and, above all, on the candidates’ spirit of enterprise. Projects are examined rigorously to choose those that best meet the criteria and an independent Jury selects five winners from a shortlist.
Award: Each Young Laureate will receive 50,000 Swiss francs over a period of two years.
