Applications are open for the 39th Khwarizmi International Award 2025. The Khwarizmi International Award seeks to recognize the efforts made by researchers, innovators and inventors from the world and to appreciate their achievements in various fields of science and technology. The Khwarizmi International Award is named in memory of the achievements of Muhammad ibn Musa al-Khwarizmi, the Iranian mathematician and astronomer. The Khwarizmi International Award is annually held.
Awards are given in the following fields:

- Agriculture & Natural Resources, Animal Sciences & Veterinary Medicine
- Basic Sciences
- Biotechnology & Basic Medical Sciences
- Basic Medical Sciences
- Chemical Technology
- Engineering (all fields)

- Industry & Technology Management
Award
- Award includes a trophy.
- A certificate signed by the Chairman of the KIA.
- Valuable Prize.
Eligibility
- Open to researchers, scientists, inventors and innovators from around the world.
- Applicant’s work should be in one of the fields listed above.
The selection criteria of the candidates are the following:
- Innovation in research subject or research method.
- The impact of the candidate’s research work on the current state of her/his field of science.
- International standing in their field of research.
