Deadline: February 28, 2026

Applications are open for the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) Global Internship 2026. This program offers a unique opportunity for highly motivated individuals to gain unparalleled experience at a dynamic multilateral development bank committed to fostering sustainable economic development and improving infrastructure in Asia.

Types of Internship

The AIIB Global Internship Program provides two distinct pathways to offer students meaningful professional and academic experiences:

  • Corporate Internship: It is designed to immerse students in project-based work addressing AIIB’s key business needs. Interns may engage in either a Collaborative Project, where teams of 2-3 interns pitch and execute innovative solutions to business challenges, or an Individual Project, where they independently manage and deliver tangible outcomes for specific assignments.
  • Research/Academic Internship: This flexible internship focuses on specialized, research-intensive projects, ideal for students seeking opportunities during their academic semesters. It can be conducted remotely or in person, allowing interns to contribute to AIIB’s strategic goals through comprehensive research and targeted deliverables over an extended period.

    Benefits

The AIIB Global Internship Program is designed to provide young professionals with:

    • Hands-on Experience: Engage directly with AIIB’s projects, initiatives, and operations.
    • Professional Development: Work alongside experienced professionals in a multicultural environment.
    • Exposure to MDB Work in Infrastructure Financing: Understand the unique challenges and opportunities of infrastructure financing in Asia.
    • Networking Opportunities: Build connections with industry leaders and experts in the field of international development and finance.

Interns will receive USD $90 per workday plus roundtrip flight ticket to Beijing.

    Eligibility

Applicants must have excellent academic records and professional qualifications while possessing strong communication, analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills. The program is open to candidates of any citizenship.

    • Education: Candidates must be enrolled in a full-time master or doctoral study program from an internationally recognized institution with plans to return to school. Candidates working toward degrees in areas aligned with AIIB’s institutional goals are preferred.
    • Experience: Relevant professional work experience (including summer jobs and internships) would be an advantage, but not necessary.
    • Communication: Fluent in oral and written English.

    Application

To submit an expression of interest:

    • Complete the online application
    • You will be invited to a chat-based screening process which will take around 5 minutes to complete.
