The purpose of this fellowship is to enhance women’s understanding of governance and strengthen their participation in civic processes through collaborative advocacy, accountability tracking, and civic education. The Governance for Women by Women Fellowship is an opportunity to build practical skills, gain real experience, and connect with other women doing this work across Nigeria.
Program Details
The comprehensive curriculum blends theoretical policy insights with hands-on, real-world civic tools:
- Budget Tracking & Analysis: Learn how public funds are allocated, how to read government budgets, and where to look for discrepancies.
- Project Monitoring: Master the art of tracking community constituency projects to ensure they are fully executed and not abandoned.
- Collaborative Advocacy: Discover how to mobilize communities, build strategic coalitions, and safely engage policy makers.
- Civic Education & Engagement: Gain a deep understanding of your constitutional rights and how to educate others to foster a culture of accountability.
