Applications are open for the Diane Nash Fall Outreach Fellowship 2026. This 3-month paid fellowship, from August to November, offers an exceptional platform for growth and making a real impact in the lives of Black Women. Fellows are charged with direct voter contact, outreach and engagement, and infrastructure building.
As a 1K Women Strong Fellow, you will not be judged upon your past indiscretions. They believe in evaluating candidates based on their qualifications, skills, and potential contributions. Therefore, the presence of a criminal background or lapse in work does not serve as a barrier to eligibility for this opportunity.

Eligibility
They are seeking college students who are passionate and dedicated to their mission and can contribute to the cause. To be eligible for this fellowship opportunity, one should meet the following criteria:
- Your college and living arrangements must be based and operate in one of these areas within the United States of America: Texas, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Michigan, North Carolina, Alabama, or South Carolina.
- Open to women on college campuses who meet the specific age criteria of 18-22 years old.
- A strong dedication to empowering Black Women and addressing issues that affect their communities.
- A background in social justice, advocacy, community organizing.
- The ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse groups.
- A can-do attitude and a willingness to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment
