Calling all student innovators and entrepreneurs. Are you turning ideas into action? Apply now to the 2014 Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U), which convenes global leaders to create and implement innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges. President Clinton will host the 7th meeting from March 21-23, 2014 at Arizona State University. To be considered for admission, all applicants are required to make a Commitment to Action.
President Bill Clinton launched CGI University (CGI U) in 2007 to engage the next generation of leaders from college campuses around the world. CGI U participants take action to create positive change in CGI U’s five focus areas: Education, Environment and Climate Change, Peace and Human Rights, Poverty Alleviation, and Public Health.

Funding Opportunities
More than $600,000 in funding available to select CGI U attendees!
Funding opportunities will be available for students to turn their ideas into action. The Resolution Project will provide $100,000 total to select student commitment-makers through its Social Venture Challenge. More than 45 colleges and universities have already joined the CGI University Network, pledging to provide over $500,000 total to student attendees from member universities.
Eligibility
- CGI U is looking for individuals who have innovative commitment ideas with concrete, detailed plans of action and passion and energy for a global issue.
- Students from a varied range of disciplines and diverse groups, who all have the common goal to take action and make a difference can apply
- Students can apply online to attend the meeting.
Program Cost/scholarship
For all accepted applicants, this meeting is free. However, CGI U attendees must cover their own hotel and travel costs or apply for travel and lodging assistance on their applications. Travel and lodging assistance is only given out to a small percentage of accepted CGI U attendees with demonstrated financial need who apply before the 11/22 early decision deadline.
