Call for Volunteers for Nsesa Foundation’s Project iSWEST 2018 in Accra, Ghana

Nsesa Foundation, a non-profit in Ghana is seeking volunteers for their annual Innovation Bootcamp, Project iSWEST. They are looking for individuals who share in their vision and are passionate and committed to raising the next generation of African innovators. If this is you, then don’t hesitate to apply.

They are on a mission to raise the next generation of African innovators and you have the opportunity to be a part of this mission. At its 5th anniversary, Project iSWEST 2018 will run in Accra, Ghana. Familiarize yourself with the vision of Nsesa Foundation, as well as the goals and impact of Project iSWEST by reading our press release on Project iSWEST 2017.

Benefits

  • Volunteers will be provided with lunch and an allowance to cover transportation costs during the program.
  • Volunteers will also receive certificates of appreciation.

Eligibility

Before Project iSWEST 2018 (April-June)

  • Lead Ambassador
    • Knowledgeable about Nsesa Foundation’s vision and mission, and the goals of Project iSWEST
    • Excellent leadership and collaboration skills
    • Excellent planning skills
    • High personal standards and goal oriented
  • Ambassador
    • Knowledgeable about Nsesa Foundation’s vision and mission, and the goals of Project iSWEST
    • Able to travel to various schools
    • Able to work with minimal supervision
    • Excellent and effective communications skills

During Project iSWEST 2018 (July)

  • Project iSWEST Lead
    • Knowledgeable about Nsesa Foundation’s vision and mission, and the goals of Project iSWEST
    • Excellent leadership and collaboration skills
    • Strong analytical skills and problem solving skills
    • Excellent planning skills
    • High personal standards and goal oriented
  • Data Coordinator
    • Knowledgeable about Nsesa Foundation’s vision and mission, and the goals of Project iSWEST
    • Good working knowledge of the Google Drive platform
    • Experience with word processing and spreadsheet applications
    • Excellent written communication skills
    • Able to multitask and work under pressure
    • Able to quickly learn and apply new concepts and ideas
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Publicity Coordinator
    • Knowledgeable about Nsesa Foundation’s vision and mission, and the goals of Project iSWEST
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Excellent and effective communications skills, both orally and in writing
    • Familiar with Social Media engagement
  • Lead Facilitator and Assistant Facilitator
    • Knowledgeable about Nsesa Foundation’s vision and mission, and the goals of Project iSWEST
    • Lead and Assistant Facilitators are required to have expertise in one of the courses (Arduino, Coding and Innovation) pertaining to the specific role. Refer to our press release on Project iSWEST 2017 to familiarize yourself with the content of these courses.
    • Able to teach and coach students
  • Logistics Coordinator
    • Knowledgeable about Nsesa Foundation’s vision and mission, and the goals of Project iSWEST
    • Strong analytical skills and problem solving skills
    • Excellent planning skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
