GSK and Save the Children invite nominations for their second annual $1 million Healthcare Innovation Award. The award was established to identify and reward innovations in healthcare that have proven successful in reducing child deaths in developing countries.
Nominations can be submitted by the organisation themselves, or an organisation may be nominated by a third-party organisation or individual.
Award
- The organisations judged to improve newborn survival in the most innovative and effective ways will be eligible for an Award of up to USD$ 400,000.
Benefits
- The winners will be promoted through public award announcements and international media coverage to help publicize the winning innovations that are increasing access to healthcare around the world.
Eligibility
- Nominations must be from a country classified as ‘low’, ‘lower-middle’, or ‘upper-middle’ income by the World Bank
- Nominations from the European Union are not eligible.
- Countries classified as ‘high income’ by the World Bank or that are in the European Union are not eligible
- Come from an organisation based in an eligible country, with an innovation used for the benefit of the people in an eligible country
- Nominations of more than one eligible innovation from a single eligible organization are also accepted.
- Employees of the Save the Children and GSK, any of their group companies, and any other person directly connected with the HIAs or the Awards cannot be nominated.
- Employees of GSK and Save the Children cannot nominate any organization.
