The Program Engagement with Perspective (PEP), an initiative for young social entrepreneurs within the Ashoka framework is organizing the the IT4Change Summit 2014. This is a 5 day conference with young social entrepreneurs from international backgrounds who are all using information and communication technologies in order to tackle societal challenges.
For the IT4Change summit, October 21st – 26th 2014, they are bringing together 28 young social entrepreneurs from Germany, Central, and Eastern Europe who are using IT to tackle societal challenges. The PEP team and their experts will support the projects with coaching, advice, access to their networks and potential project funding.
Benefits
The support and motivation does not end with the summit. Ashoka will also provide training and coaching to assist in developing your project. Moreover, SAP is offering a matchfund of up to 14.000€ for all projects together after the October conference.
Travel, meals and accommodation during the whole conference are covered by the organizers.
Participants will get;
- inspiration and motivation through networking with other participants, experienced social entrepreneurs and experts from different sectors
- a trip to the European capital of start-ups, Berlin, with a lot of insights you would not get on a holiday trip and of course plenty of great and memorable moments
Eligibility
- You must be 16 – 27 years
- You must have a project making a social impact.
- The The role of IT must be essential to the project and amplifies its social impact
- You must come from one of the Participating countries: Central and Eastern Europe
NOTE: Applications are currently aimed at projects from Central, and Eastern Europe. Projects from Germany have already been selected.
