Are you a young woman interested in making a change in your life and effecting change in your community? IL2L welcomes you to join other young women from around the world in applying to attend the international leadership summit in Johannesburg, South Africa from Friday, March 22 to Wednesday, March 27, 2013.
Apply to attend. Scholarships available from generous donors who believe in the possibilities of young women to shape the future. At an iL2L Summit, participants receive the skills, inspiration and support to lead change in their communities.
Women leaders in business, government, and diplomacy lead the training sessions at the Summits. All participants receive instruction on leadership, interpersonal decision-making, negotiation, written and verbal communication skills. The expert leads the participants in practicing these skills in experiential workshops.
At the Summit each young woman is required to develop a COMMIT TO ACTION NOW (iCAN) project she will undertake throughout the next year. Her mentor helps her refine her project proposal and commits to providing sustained guidance and assistance for the following year.
