The University of Mauritius Trust, in partnership with the International Development Research Centre ( IDRC) invites interested candidates to apply for the Master of Science in Social Protection Financing. The intensive one-year degree program is designed to equip social security managers and financial specialists to meet the challenges of financing national social protection programs.
The University of Mauritius (UoM) will award a number of scholarships to successful applicants to the 2014-2015 program which will begin in August 2014.

Eligibility:
- The scholarships are open to students from a sub-Saharan African country.
Application criteria:
- Priority for admission will be given to serving officials from African social security institutions and ministries (managers, actuaries, financial and policy analysts), and from organizations representing African workers and employers.
- Applicants outside the continent and with other professional and institutional backgrounds will also be considered.
