The Oxford University Centre for Islamic studies is now accepting applications for The Imam Bukhari and Imam Tirmizi Research Fellowships. The Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies promotes excellence in the study of Islam and Muslim societies.Preference will be given to those studying classical Islamic sciences, although other areas in the humanities and social sciences will be considered
Benefits
Each Visiting Research Fellow will be provided shared office accomodation, a stipend of £3000, and membership of the Common Room. The stipends for both categories of fellowships are intended as a supplementary award and may be held in conjunction with other research grants, stipends, or sabbatical salaries
Eligibility
- Open to citizens of countries in Asia or Africa
- Preference will be given to those studying classical Islamic sciences, although other areas in the humanities and social sciences will be considered
