Al-Jazeera’s Media Innovation Hackathon (All-Expense Paid)

Al-jazeera is currently taking applications for the 2014 inaugural Canvas Hackathon. Applications are accepted from designers, developers, media experts, and people with a passion for social innovation.This year, the inaugural Canvas hackathon is all about “Media in Context” and is  scheduled for November 29th – December 1st, 2014 at Qatar National Convention Centre, Doha. Canvas is an opportunity to be a pioneer, and meet others with the same drive and spirit and join a growing community that values innovation.

Awards

  • Selected participants will have their accommodation, food and travel paid for in kind by Al Jazeera Innovation & Research, will receive a welcome package of great stuff when they arrive.
  • Prizes for work completed at the hackathon include cash awards ranging from $2,000 USD to $10,000 USD. These awards will be distributed for a range of criteria including most innovative projects and the most compelling submissions for various challenges

Eligibility

Al-Jazeera is seeking for a range of experience levels. Thus applications is accepted from everyone regardless of ages, countries of origin,  gender, or nationality
