Applications are invited for the Startup of the Year Award 2017. Startup of the Year Award is a contest organized by Bonjour Idée with the support of 50+ partners (international corporations, incubators, chambers of commerce, media, competitive centers, influential blogs). While shedding light on disruptive startups, this contest is meant to add value to the partners’ actions at the heart of the entrepreneurial ecosystem of innovation and startups, and put them in contact with innovative startups.

Category 1: 2 Jury awards
- Main Prize: African Startup of the Year: Named by Jury after Casablanca Pitches
- €10000 in Cash
- €10000 Visibility Pack (Bonjour idée website background with 100000+ views, mention in press campain, banner in emailing)

Category 2: 5 Public Choice Awards
- No. 1 of Public Voting Top 100
- €2000 in cash offered by Qwant

- Branding of Qwant’s homepage
- No. 2 to 5 of Public Voting Top 100
- Visibility Pack With 20000 views

Category 3: 1 Community Manager Award
- Community Manager of the Year: Rewards the community manager that best animated their startup’s social media presence during the competition and voting period through innovative visuals & techniques to drive voters:
- A new iPad for the community manager
- Visibility Pack With 20000 views for their startup
- Startup is integrated into Bonjour idée partners’ business network
Category 4: 3 partner awards
- OCP Agritech Startup of the Year: Rewards an Africa based startup bringing innovation to farms and farmers:
- € 5000 in cash offered by OCP Group
- € 10000 Visibility Pack offered by Bonjour idée
- Integration in OCP Group Business Network
- SNCF Destination Africa Startup Award: Rewards an innovative international startup established or willing to establish presence in Africa

Category 5: 1 Diaspora Award
- Africa Diaspora Startup of the Year: Rewards the best startup created by a worldwide member of African Diaspora

- €10000 Visibility Pack offered by Bonjour idée
Eligibility
- Company must be registered;
- Must be based in Africa to be named African Startup of Year or OCP Africa Agritech of the year;
- No geographical restriction for other awards;
- Company created after Jan 1, 2010;
- Your activity’s environmental impact will be taken into account by the jury;
- Your product or service must be innovative;
- You should have a running MVP or prototype.
