The Vernadsky Challenge 2020 for Engineering Startups is now open. The Vernadsky Challenge is an engineering startup contest that strives to become #1 platform that brings together sharp-witted engineers and they already succeeded with first steps! This is a startup competition to turn your idea into a reality.

8 of 13 Vernadsky Challenge winners have taken part in CES and TechCrunch Disrupt, raised capital on Kickstarter and Indiegogo or received grants and investment from other contests and venture funds after their triumphant debut on our stage. 32 of 45 finalists have reached prototyping or manufacturing stage.

Do you have an innovative idea or even a finished project? Show it to their experts. All applications will be evaluated and the most promising solutions are guaranteed to receive the grant funding.

Categories

They are interested in:

  • Space Technologies: The space race is in it’s sharpest stage and we definitely want better positions in it. That’s where they need your talent. They are thrilled for space-related projects. Rockets, launch mechanics, satellites, space engineering, AI for aerospace and everything related to getting closer to space is what they need. Feel free to share your ideas and don’t hesitate to apply for Space technologies section of the Vernadsky Challenge.
  • Active Bioelectronics: They see the purpose of technology in multiplying human abilities. That includes making human body better via technologies. Develop your projects in order to help disabled person to walk again. Сreate a technology for the bodies of people with specific professions. Show your ideas regarding active bioelectronics on the Vernadsky Challenge!

The finals of the 5th Vernadsky Challenge engineering startup competition will take place in October 2020. The competition will again be part of the Noosphere Space Summit – an international space forum, which will be held in 2020 in tandem with the XII International Aviation and Space Salon «AVIASVIT-XXI».

Benefits

The most promising solutions are guaranteed to receive the grant funding equivalent to 2M UAH (≈70K USD).

Eligibility

Open to teams with the most innovative ideas for hardware in space technologies and active bioelectronics.
