Apply to be NBCU Academy Associate Reporter 2023. NBCU Academy is looking for Associate Reporters to profile changemakers and programs creating more inclusive, equitable spaces in schools, workplaces, communities and beyond. This is an unmatched opportunity for early-career journalists with 2-3 years of post-graduate experience in either video or print (or both!).
Associate Reporters will ideate, research, write and produce their own pieces to be published on the NBCU Academy site. They will also train with world-class media experts to create well-sourced, contextualized, engaging work. Applicants do not need to be New York-based to apply.

Eligibility
- Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree;
- 2-3 years post-graduate journalism experience, either in video, production or online/print;
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
Desired Characteristics
- Demonstrated interest or experience in reporting on issues related to equity, accessibility and inclusion of historically marginalized communities that have been underrecognized in media and technology.
- A desire to tell great stories in innovative ways across digital and video platforms.
- A willingness to collaborate.
- A commitment to a career in digital, streaming or broadcast journalism.
- For video reporter candidates, shooting and video editing experience is a plus.
