Applications are open for the Christopher Kolade Foundation SHE Soars Scholarship for Nigerians 2024/2025. The SHE Soars Scholarship Program, launched in 2019, offers a unique blend of financial assistance and mentorship to female graduates of Nigerian public secondary schools who have secured admission into Nigerian public universities. This holistic approach not only alleviates the financial burden of higher education but also equips scholars with the skills, networks, and confidence needed to excel in their chosen fields.

Since its inception, the SHE Soars Program has supported 26 scholars across 14 universities in Nigeria. Their scholars are pursuing diverse and impactful careers in fields such as:

  • Medicine and Surgery
  • Mechatronics Engineering
  • Physiotherapy
  • Aeronautics and Astronautic Engineering
  • Agricultural Extension
  • Psychology
  • Law
  • Accounting

Scholarship

  • Annual scholarship of ₦300,000 per scholar covers tuition fees, textbooks, and a monthly living stipend.
  • Sponsorship for the entire duration of study (4-6 years, depending on the course).
  • One-on-one pairing with successful career women and business leaders.
  • Regular mentorship sessions to provide guidance and support.
  • Networking opportunities with industry professionals.
  • Support for a wide range of disciplines including Medicine, Engineering, Law, and more.
  • Access to additional learning resources and academic counseling.

Eligibility

  • Be female graduates of a Nigerian public secondary school;
  • Have verifiable proof of admission into a Nigerian public tertiary institution;
  • Demonstrate financial need;
  • Show exceptional academic potential and leadership qualities.

Application

Interested candidates are required to submit the following documents:

  • Completed application form
  • Recent passport photograph
  • Admission letter from a Nigerian public university
  • Academic transcripts from secondary school
  • Two letters of recommendation (one academic, one character)
  • A personal statement outlining career goals and how the scholarship will help achieve them
