Deadline: February 23, 2025

Applications are open for the UNESCO-APCEIU-MGIEP 11th Youth Leadership Workshop on GCED 2025. The UNESCO Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding (APCEIU) and the UNESCO Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development (MGIEP), in partnership with the GCED Youth Network, invite passionate youth leaders to apply for the 11th Youth Leadership Workshop on GCED.

This workshop aims to empower young leaders by integrating Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) into Global Citizenship Education (GCED), equipping them with essential skills to promote peace, resilience, and sustainability in their communities. Participants will engage in discussions, interactive activities, and networking opportunities to deepen their understanding of GCED and SEL as transformative tools for global change.

Successful participants who complete the workshop will be eligible to apply for an exclusive mentorship programme to further develop their initiatives.

Benefits

  • Enhanced SEL skills and a deeper understanding of GCED.
  • Networking experience with youth leaders around the world.
  • Win a mentorship and grant opportunity.

This Workshop does not require any participation fee as it will be held exclusively for selected candidates.

Eligibility

  • Open to youth leaders from ODA recipient countries, actively engaged in GCED. Applicants ONLY from Official Development Assistance (ODA) recipient countries are eligible to apply.
  • English proficiency is required as the workshop will be conducted in English.
