Applications are invited for the Y20 South Africa 2025 Working Groups. South Africa will host the Y20 Summit 2025 as part of its historic G20 Presidency, bringing together youth leaders from across the world to influence global policy. The Y20 Summit will focus on five key themes that align with South Africa’s G20 agenda and the African Union’s Agenda 2063.
This Expression of Interest form allows youth-led and youth-focused organisations, as well as civil society organisations (CSOs) and individuals, to indicate their interest in participating in Y20 Working Groups. These groups will play a key role in shaping discussions, policy recommendations, and advocacy efforts leading up to the Summit.

- Inclusive Economic Growth and Employment – Pathways to Prosperity
- AI, Digital Innovation, Education & the Future of Work – Innovate to Elevate: Building Skills for Tomorrow
- Meaningful Youth Engagement & Reforming Multilateralism – A Just Future for Youth
- Inclusive Social Development & Addressing Inequality – Leaving No One Behind
Eligibility
- Open to youth leaders, youth-led organisations, youth-focused CSOs, and experts passionate about the themes above.
- Be aged 18 – 35 (if applying as an individual).
- Have reliable internet connection: Pre-Summit meetings and Working Group discussions will be held online (unless otherwise indicated).
Application
The Y20 Steering Committee will carefully review all applications, and while they strive to accommodate as many participants as possible, selection will be based on eligibility, alignment with the summit’s objectives, and available capacity.
