Applications for the Schools Triathlon Young Leaders Program 2025 are open. The Schools Triathlon is a fun, sporting event for 7–13 year olds. Its mission? To get more young people moving, having fun, and discovering the power of fundraising. In 2025, over 10,000 young people took part in 12 events, raising an incredible £1.5 million for Restless Development and local charities. Since it began, the Schools Triathlon has raised over £5 million—making it our flagship fundraising event every year.

The Schools Triathlon Young Leader plays a key role in supporting the successful delivery of the Schools Triathlon series. Working within Restless Development’s Fundraising Team, you will contribute to event delivery, school engagement, participant recruitment, and fundraising support. You will also gain hands-on experience in event management, public speaking, stakeholder engagement, and fundraising operations, working closely with schools, participants, partners, and event delivery teams.  

Salary

  • UK Living Wage – daily salary £92 per day with an average 1-2 days per week. Less days are likely between November 2025 and March 2026, & more days throughout April – July 2026.

Eligibility

  • Must have the right to work in the UK;
  • Must have a full driver’s license and access to reliable and roadworthy vehicle;
  • Must have access to your own IT equipment e.g. Laptop.

They are looking for individuals who:

  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Driving license and access to a roadworthy vehicle
  • Interest in the charity sector and/or event fundraising/management
  • Access to your own IT equipment

Desirable Qualities

  • You can be organized and meet deadlines for your work
  • Some experience of public speaking
  • Some experience of using different communication methods to a range of audiences e.g. emailing, telephone calling
  • You have good attention to detail
  • You don’t mind doing different tasks and can prioritize tasks you are set
  • You’re able to use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • You’re happy to work independently, but you’re also a great team player
  • Demonstrate a willingness to adapt and learn on the job
