AI Data Centre Talent Development Programme (AITDP) 2025

Applications are open for the AI Data Centre Talent Development Programme (AITDP) 2025. In alignment with Japan’s strategic emphasis on advanced technology and digital transformation, and Tokyo’s aspiration to emerge as a global leader in data-driven innovation, they are pleased to announce the launch of the AI Data Centre Talent Development Programme with a focus on digital infrastructure.

Sponsored by Ada Infrastructure, this programme aims to furnish participants with critical capabilities required to support Japan’s pursuit of AI-led economic growth and resilience in digital ecosystems.

Programme Curriculum

  • Week 1: Introduction to AI Data Centres and Core Concepts – Understand the basics of data centres, including their role, key components, and essential technologies.
  • Week 2: Data Centre Operations and Management – Learn how data centres are operated and maintained, focusing on uptime, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Week 3: Advanced Topics and Career Pathways – Explore advanced topics, industry trends, and opportunities to start your career in the data centre field.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must reside in Japan.
  • Hold a degree (or graduating in less than six months), preferably in a related field (computing, engineering, physics, business, or similar).
  • OR have completed a relevant apprenticeship or vocational training program.
  • OR possess equivalent professional experience in a related field (IT, engineering, infrastructure, operations, ESG, marketing, finance, development, technical roles, or similar).
  • Full attendance at the 15 remote evening sessions. Each session will run for 1.5 hours, beginning at 7:00 pm JST, and will take place Monday to Friday across three consecutive weeks.
  • Attendance at the in-person graduation ceremony (date TBC).
  • A demonstrated interest in the data centre industry in your application statement.

  • Technical aptitude and basic understanding of IT or engineering concepts.
  • Problem-solving and teamwork experience.
  • Adaptability and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Motivation for career transition, especially for veterans and ex-service personnel.
  • Applications from diverse and underrepresented groups are encouraged.
