Deadline: November 15, 2025

Applications are open for the Beyond Future Art Prize 2025. The Beyond Future Art Prize was established to spotlight and support artists whose work reflects the urgent social, environmental, and technological challenges of our time. Rooted in the belief that art is a powerful force for transformation, the prize champions creativity that inspires change, sparks dialogue and reimagines sustainable futures.

Launched in 2022, the prize has grown into an international platform that celebrates emerging and established artists working at the intersection of art, society, and innovation. Each year, they spotlight a new global theme — from sustainability and identity to empowerment and digital transformation — and invite artists to respond through their unique mediums and perspectives.

2025 Theme

The 2025 Beyond Future Art Prize invites artists to explore this evolving vision. As artificial intelligence continues to reshape how we live, work, and create, they ask:

Can we build a future that puts ethics before efficiency, community before control, and regeneration before replication?

This year’s theme celebrates artists rooted in traditional media—painting, drawing, printmaking, analog photography, or hand-crafted techniques—who are now beginning to explore AI as a creative partner. Not to replace their artistic hand, but to expand their vision.

They welcome submissions that:

  • Reflect on AI’s role in our relationship with nature
  • Question the ethics of automation
  • Envision inclusive, sustainable futures
  • Reimagine creativity in a digitized world

Whether AI is your tool, your muse, or your mirror — they invite you to use it intentionally, critically, and creatively.

Prizes

  • Winner: Cash Prize HK$10,000, Trophy and Physical Certificate
  • 1st Runner-Up: Cash Prize HK$6,000 and Physical Certificate
  • 2nd Runner-Up: Cash Prize HK$4,000 and Physical Certificate
  • 3rd Runner-Up: Cash Prize HK$3,000 and Physical Certificate
  • 4th Runner-Up: Cash Prize HK$2,000 and Physical Certificate
  • Top 20 finalists: Digital Certificate

Eligibility

  • Open to artists around the world aged 15 or above working primarily in traditional media (painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, mixed media) who are beginning to integrate AI into their creative process.
  • Original works that thoughtfully explore the intersection between AI, sustainability, nature, and humanity, while demonstrating technical skill and conceptual depth.
