Are you a woman or a young man physically and mentally fit to work at heights and under pressure in the solar photovoltaic energy sector who aspires to improve your skills in solar installation? Apply for the ROGEAP ASPIRE Program 2026.

The ROGEAP ASPIRE program is part of ROGEAP’s activities aimed at supporting the development of a regional ecosystem for the sustainable growth of the stand-alone solar systems industry by creating business opportunities and jobs. This ecosystem includes manufacturing, assembly, distribution, installation and maintenance of off-grid solar energy.

About the Regional Off-Grid Electricity Access Project (ROGEAP)

ROGEAP is funded by the World Bank, the Clean Technology Fund (CTF), and the Directorate-General for International Cooperation (DGIS) of the Government of the Netherlands.

It aims to increase access to sustainable electricity services in the 12 ECOWAS member countries and 7 other sub-Saharan African countries (Niger, Mali, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Mauritania, Central African Republic, Chad) by building a regional market for off-grid solar products and supporting value chain actors.

Benefits

As a certified regional installer, you have access to the off-grid solar energy market throughout the ECOWAS region and sub-Saharan African countries:

  • Access to practice as a certified installer within ECOWAS,
  • High-quality and reliable solar installations within ECOWAS member states,
  • Strengthening consumer confidence in regional solar installations,
  • An established career path for solar installers.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be physically and mentally fit to work at heights and under pressure in a hot environment
  • Identification: Copy of an identity document issued by the competent authorities (passport, driver’s license, etc.).
  • Be a national of one of the following countries: Cameroon, Cape Verde, Côte d’Ivoire
  • Diploma: Professional diploma in renewable energy, electrical engineering or relevant technical diploma (national or international/Bac F3/BEP/Professional Baccalaureate/ BSc / MSc / PhD or student enrolled in a technical or vocational school).
