Applications are open for the Global Ventures Internship Program – Summer 2026. Global Ventures is an international venture capital firm that invests in global-mindset, growth-stage companies, focused on enterprise technology across the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region. Their vision is to back the highest potential companies in the region, as a trusted partner to entrepreneurs as they seek to achieve scale and success.
As a member of the team you will gain a holistic understanding of venture capital investing from sector mapping, deal origination, diligence and execution to value creation in portfolio companies. You will work collaboratively with our team to evaluate and execute investment opportunities and drive growth within their portfolio companies.
The internship will include a training program, a lecture series by industry leaders and a mentorship program. Previous guest lecturers included Chamath Palihapitiya (Social Capital), Ziyad Baeshen (General Atlantic), Shant Oknayan (Tiktok), Fares Akkad (Meta), and celebrity and former NBA player turned entrepreneur, Rick Fox, amongst others.
Responsibilities
- Researching various sectors and subsectors within target verticals, writing reports and providing deep-dive analyses.
- Screening new opportunities that fall within fund’s mandate and overall investment thesis.
- Contributing to deal evaluation and execution process including financial and competitive analysis, market sizing and commercial due diligence.
- Assisting in the preparation of internal investment recommendations to the Investment Committee.
- Working closely with portfolio companies to drive value-creation initiatives and manage reporting, oversight, and operations.
- Contributing to fund marketing efforts which are directed to both our external community and to investors.
- Helping to maintain internal databases.
Eligibility
- Applicant should be pursuing a Postgraduate degree or Alumni;
- 2-4 years’ work experience;
- Proven passion around start-ups, technology or investments;
- Excellent MS Office and financial analysis skills;
- Proven and engaged leader in academics, volunteer work or extra-curricular activities;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong analytical abilities.
Application
As this is a virtual internship, all candidates will be required to have access to a laptop and internet connection to take part in the program. Weekly engagement and collaboration will take place using remote working tools such as Gmail, Slack, Zoom and Notion amongst others. Note that as majority of the team is based in the UAE, working hours will fall within this time zone.
